Systems

Systems that work.

I build website assistants that answer from approved facts, short-form clips from videos and streams, and private AI search for team files. Prices are on this page. I design each system and direct AI coding agents to build it.

Where it started

I am a designer, and I have always been terrible at naming files. I had thousands of images and documents with names that told me nothing, and I needed to find them by what was in them, not what I had called them. So I built a search that understands what is inside a file, and everything else on this page grew from the same habit: when I need a tool that does not exist, I build it.

A blueprint is a written scope for your system: what will be delivered, how we will know it works, who owns what, maintenance and the revision allowance, plus a fixed quote to build it. £295, credited in full against a build that starts within 30 days.

Three lead services with clear scope, prices and proof from my own businesses. The £295 blueprint is paid up front, and no custom build starts without one.

A · Service

Website assistant that answers from your facts

A chat box on your site that answers customer questions only from facts you approve, and says when it does not know.

Working in my own business
From £695setup£49/month

Includes:

  • One website
  • Up to 200 approved facts
  • Guard rules
  • A monthly fact update

Proof: Live on Ready & Sorted

My role I structure the approved facts, set the guard rules, connect the assistant to the site and test the answers and refusals.

B · Service

Short-form clips from your videos and streams

A repeatable production service for turning your source videos into finished vertical clips, captioned and prepared for publishing.

Built, first results under review
£395/monthfor 8 clips

Includes:

  • Up to 2 source videos
  • 8 clips up to 60 s
  • Captions
  • Vertical reframe
  • One house style
  • One revision round per clip
  • Scheduling to one platform

Add-on: YouTube upload scheduling and channel admin £295/month

A Short uploaded by the scheduler

Sample clips available on request once I have reviewed the first batch.

The pipeline cut five clips from a 46-minute session and scheduled them through the YouTube API; I am reviewing them before taking clients.

My role I set the house style, run the production pipeline, check each clip and handle the agreed publishing workflow.

Store and order automation

Orders and fulfilment move through one guarded workflow, with a stop whenever anything looks odd.

A personalised licence card is made for each paid order on my own online shop, checked, sent to print-and-post and tracked, with duplicate-post protection. A real test letter arrived and a real order has been fulfilled. A money dashboard shows live read-only balances with daily monitoring and weekly summaries.

And more

More systems I’ve built

Shorter write-ups of other working systems. All were built for my own businesses and projects; none is client work.

Multi-agent design pipeline

Design systems

A pipeline of design agents. A brief and a set of reusable parts go in; the Rubrics engine composes several page options, measures them against design rules and ranks them. RenderPress turns approved layouts into print-ready pages and repairs faults, and MotionPress does the same for short motion graphics.

My role I devised the approach and direct the build, including the rules that decide what is good enough to ship.

Hue Lattice: a map of colours arranged by hue, lightness and strengthReal render

Colour system

Hue Lattice

A coordinate system for colour. Every colour has an address on a map of hue, lightness and strength, and brand palettes sit in it as ramps where a higher step is always darker, so text contrast is predictable. Flipping lightness gives a matching dark mode.

My role I conceived the system and its rules and direct its build.

Sound system

Sound Lattice

An early-stage sound design system for apps. The sound map and the first kits exist, so key interface moments such as an alert or an error can use a matching sound. Kits can be swapped and sound can be switched off.

My role I conceived it and direct it: which moments get a sound and how the kits are organised.

Private compute network

The GPU fleet

A small private network of computers: a storage hub, GPU machines for heavy work and an always-on server. A shared job queue sends each task to the machine where it fits.

My role I designed the setup and the rules for how work is handed out.

Illustration: a night-time farm of small server colonies, each fed by glowing streams, all feeding one shared archiveIllustration

Always-on collectors

Siphon farm

An always-on server running small collectors, each with one job: gathering research, media or public data on a schedule. Each reports what it found and what failed, and results land in one shared place.

My role I designed what each collector is for, how they are scheduled and how they report back.

Model types I work with

  • Image generation (text-to-image, refinement, upscaling)
  • Video generation and editing
  • Voice generation and speech recognition
  • Sound and music generation
  • ComfyUI workflows
  • Local models on my own GPU
  • Cloud models
  • Fine-tuning and training my own models (text, vision, audio, image style)
How I build

How I build

The method · How I build software

Lattice Foundry

My build method: getting a team of AI coding agents to build real software quickly, in parallel, without it turning into a mess.

  • A lead plans the work and splits it into small, well-defined tickets, each naming its files and tests.
  • Worker agents build the tickets in parallel, each on its own branch, claiming files first so they never collide.
  • Every change is tested and reviewed before it is merged, and a record is kept so it can be rolled back.

My role The engineering is AI-assisted, and I say so plainly. I am accountable for the architecture, the testing, the security and the handover of everything I deliver.
